William Dallas Hawrylak, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 16, 2024 in a local hospital surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. William, also known as "Bill" was born on Saturday, November 2, 1940 to William and Betty Hawrylak in Toledo, Ohio.
Bill had a big heart, he constantly made those around him smile. Had a deep love for all kinds of animals having taken in many strays over the years. He will be missed greatly by those who knew him.
Bill is rejoicing in Heaven with his parents, mother-in-law, Ruby Bamburg, niece, Kathryn Ann Wallace, sisters-in-law, Wanda Sue and Tomi Dean, and brothers-in-law, Virgil, Jackie, Bruce, and Roger.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Peggy Bamburg Hawrylak; son, Brian Hawrylak and his wife, Julie; daughter, Kimberly Hawrylak Varner and her husband, Chris; son, Bill Campbell and his wife, Dawn of Palmer, AK; daughter, Amy Hawrylak Crossley and her husband, Frank of Palmer, AK; son, Stephen Hawrylak of Texas; grandchildren, Sean (Casey), Travis, Charles Michael, Devanee, Bridgette, Bobbi Jo (Stacey), Cristen, and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Serenity, Shaylee, Izaiah, and Caiden; sister, Barbara Wallace and her husband, Frank of Toledo, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Elaine Stanley and her husband, Clifford, Rowena Strother and her husband, Charles, Mary Nolen and husband, Jerry and Toni Twigg; brother-in-law, Larry Bamburg and his wife, Dee Ann; numerous nieces and nephews, other extended family, and many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2024 in the Chapel of Peace at J.E. Hixson Funeral Home, 3001 Ryan St. Lake Charles, LA 70601. Celebrant, Jody Tyler will lead services. There will be a time of visitation and fellowship beginning at 4:00 p.m. A private Burial will be held on Monday and Bill will be laid to rest in Highland Memory Gardens.
