Pat H. Foley & Company Donates to Ministry Assistance of the Near Northwest Alliance

HOUSTON, TX. - June 20, 2014

As it performs a large-scale renovation and remodel on its facilities, Pat H. Foley & Company, a member of the Dignity Memorial® network, is reaffirming its commitment to the Garden Oaks/Oak Forest and Heights community with a significant in-kind donation to the Ministry Assistance of the Near Northwest Alliance (MANNA) resale shop, located at 1806 W. 43rd Street. Pat H. Foley will donate furniture and art to the MANNA resale shop that would otherwise have been discarded.

"We are proud to have a long-standing reputation as a good community partner, and our relationship with MANNA has meant a lot to our team for many years," said Erik Henderson, Pat H. Foley's manager. "Since MANNA relies on its resale shop to fund their food pantry, contributing a part of our history to help further their important work just seemed like the right thing to do."

Both Pat H. Foley and MANNA have long histories of serving the Near Northwest Houston community. A group of local pastors established MANNA almost 25 years ago, and it has since grown into a coalition of community partners that serves 11 zip codes in the Houston area. With a small staff and nearly 100+ volunteers, the resale store funds MANNA's food pantry, which serves almost 1,000 needy Houstonians per month with one or more of its services. Since MANNA's founding, Pat H. Foley has sponsored a monthly networking luncheon to encourage collaboration among the various groups represented.

Located at 1200 West 34th Street, Pat H. Foley has served Near Northwest families since 1965. Pat H. Foley invites the community to participate in the renovation process through staff-hosted hardhat tours every Friday.
